The MDD112C-N-030-N2L-180GA1 is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor. It is part of the MDD product line. The digital MDD AC servo motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. The permanent magnets of the rotor are made of rare-earth or iron oxide magnetic materials. The use of such materials makes it possible to manufacture a motor with low inertia. MDD motors offers maintenance-free operation as a result of a brushless design of the motor and the use of life-time lubricated bearings. MDD motors can be used directly within the working area of the machine even under poor environmental conditions (e.g., affects of coolants or soluble oil emulsions) because the motor housing is completely sealed and the connections for the motor power cable and the feedback cable are constructed as per protection category IP65.
MDD motors support temperature monitoring by means of a temperature sensor built into the motor windings prevents overload damage. The MDD112C-N-030-N2L-180GA1 is a motor that supports several features such as digital servo feedback, plain output shaft, an optional blocking brake, power connection on side B, and a standard housing. The motor can be cooled via natural convection or surface cooling. The choice of cooling method depends on application load: higher load demands can be met with surface cooling.
