Product Description
All drive and motion control units by Bosch Rexroth display high operational reliability and efficiency. These include the MDD synchronous servo motors designed and manufactured by the company to create cost-effective rapid-response automation systems with digital drive controllers from Indramat. The permanent magnet-excited motors are used in machine tools and robotics.
The MDD112C-N-030-N2L-130GL1 is a digital AC servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, while the moment of inertia of its rotor is 170 x 10-4 kgm2. It has a high cyclic overload capacity because of its electronic commutation feature. Hence, it can be used for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor also has a brushless design and bearings that stay lubricated throughout its service life, allowing it to be operated maintenance-free. It is equipped with a thermal sensor in its stator windings to monitor its temperature and protect it from damage due to thermal overload. Another protective feature of the motor is its completely closed housing with an IP 65 rating according to EN 60529. It means that it can be safely operated in poor environmental conditions.
There is a blocking brake of 14.0Nm torque in the MDD112C-N-030-N2L-130GL1 to ensure a backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power. The motor also comes with a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring, permitting a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of torque. It uses surface cooling and natural convection for heat elimination and belongs to Balance Class N per DIN VDE 0530. This MDD model’s centering diameter is 130mm, and it can generate a theoretical maximum torque of 100.4Nm.
