Product Description
One of Bosch Rexroth’s most versatile servo motors is the MDD motor. These motors are available with different continuous torques and speeds, suitable for a wide range of applications. They form cost-effective, rapid-response automation systems when combined with intelligent drive controllers from Indramat.
The MDD112C-N-020-N2M-130GA1 is a high-performance MDD synchronous servo motor by Bosch Rexroth. It is best suited for applications where advanced synchronism and precision are required, such as grinding machines. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and it can reach a maximum torque of 97.3Nm. This model also has low inertia as its rotor’s permanent magnet is made from rare earth and iron oxide materials. Hence, it is ideal for operations requiring high dynamics. It also has a high cyclic load capacity for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates, thanks to electronic commutation. According to the DIN 40050 guidelines, the servo motor is a product of the IP 65 protection category.
A thermal sensor is built into the stator of the MDD112C-N-020-N2M-130GA1 to monitor its temperature and prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. The motor has a lifetime-lubricated bearing that allows it to be operated maintenance-free, and this bearing permits high radial loads. As a result, pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to its shaft. This shaft is the plain type with a shaft sealing ring, providing a backlash-free and non-positive shaft-hub connection. Its sealing ring prevents fluids from entering the motor through the shaft. Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder is the feedback system of the MDD model. It uses the optical method to ensure the high-precision determination of the motor’s absolute indirect position.
