Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is the designer of the MDD servo motor designed to create a rapid-response automation system with Indramat digital drive controllers. These compact motors are characterized by their high power-to-weight ratio. They guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feed rates.
The MDD112C-N-020-N2L-180PB1 is a model of the compact servo motors of the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It features digital servo feedback as its integrated encoder system and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. This encoder uses the optical method to achieve high-level precision. Its inbuilt data memory also stores information like the type name and control loop parameters, speeding up the motor’s startup. The output shaft of this MDD model is the type with a keyway per DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring for form-fitting torque transmission. This sealing ring contributes to the integrity of the motor housing since it prevents liquids from entering the shaft. In line with EN 60529, the motor is IP 65-rated and is suitable for operation under poor environmental conditions.
Thanks to electronic commutation, the MDD112C-N-020-N2L-180PB1 has a high cyclic load capacity that makes it ideal for start-stop operations with high repetition frequency. It is also the best option for high-precision applications where an excellent level of synchronism is required, like other MDD motors with a similar frame size. The rotor in this model is composed of permanent magnets made from rare earth and iron oxide materials, giving it low inertia. A thermal sensor is built into the motor winding to monitor its temperature and prevent overload conditions. Since heat is efficiently dissipated from the stator to the walls of its housing, it has high overload capability.
