Product Description
Rapid-response automation systems are the result of combining the MDD servo motors with digital drive controllers from Indramat. The synchronous servo motors ensure high contouring accuracies at high feedrates. They are used in numerous applications such as robotics and textile machines.
The MDD112C-N-015-N2L-130GB3 is one of the compact synchronous servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It comes in a sealed housing with an IP 65 rating that allows its safe operation under harsh environmental conditions. This housing is coated with a black prime varnish resistant to chalky buildup, weathering and yellowing. It also allows the motor to be cooled by natural convection and surface cooling. One of this servo motor’s protective features is the thermal sensor built into its stator windings to prevent damage resulting from thermal overload. It also has a brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout its service life. As a result, the servo motor can be operated long-term and maintenance-free.
An electrically released 60.0Nm holding brake in the MDD112C-N-015-N2L-130GB3 holds the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power. The MDD model uses a plain output shaft with a shaft sealing ring to provide a non-positive shaft hub connection with zero backlash. Its sealing ring prevents potentially harmful fluids from entering through the shaft. To accommodate high radial loads, it is built with electronic commutation for a high cyclic load capacity. This means that it is suitable for applications like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor’s centering diameter is 130mm, while its rotor moment of inertia is 170 x 10-4 kgm2. Its rotor is composed of permanent magnet materials that give it low inertia.
