Product Description
Bosch Rexroth prioritizes efficiency, as seen in the products in its portfolio. Its MDD motors are synchronous motors with different frame sizes and torques, allowing them to be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. These include textile machines, machine tools, and handling equipment.
The MDD112B-N-040-N2M-130PB0 is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor in the MDD series with a rotor whose permanent magnet is built from iron oxide and rare earth materials. Its housing allows it to be cooled by natural convection and surface cooling; hence, it allows extreme loads, as seen in continuous start-stop operations with high repetition frequency. The motor’s brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearing allow it to be operated maintenance-free. Its bearing’s nominal lifetime is 30,000 operating hours, and it allows high radial loads to be applied. This also means that pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to the shaft. The shaft in this model is one with a keyway per DIN 6885 for form-fitting torque transmission. It also has a shaft sealing ring to prevent the motor’s penetration by hydraulic fluids through the shaft.
Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder is the encoder system of the MDD112B-N-040-N2M-130PB0. It uses the optical measurement method to determine the absolute instruct position of the motor and retains the information obtained even after a power switch-off. The encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes, and its detection range is 4,096 motor resolutions. Thanks to a sensitive thermal sensor in the stator windings of this MDD model, irreversible damage caused by thermal overload can be prevented. It also has a high overload capability due to efficient heat conduction from its stator windings.
