Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designs and manufactures factory automation products relevant to the global drive and motion industry. One of these is the MDD digital AC servo motors. They are permanent magnet excited motors with electronic commutation and several areas of application. Typically, these motors are used in printing and packaging machines, textiles machines, tool machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The motor feedback of the MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130PB0 is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder to allow the absolute indirect position detection of the motor. This MDD model is equipped with a shaft with a keyway, according to DIN 6885-1, for form-fitting shaft-hub connections. It also has a nominal speed of 3,000 rpm and a standard centering diameter of 130mm. In addition, it is particularly suited for operations that require high precision, like grinding machines. It has a high cyclic load capacity, permitting its use in continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings ensure maintenance-free operation.
Natural convection and surface cooling are the supported cooling methods for the MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130PB0, which makes it suitable for operations that involve extreme loads. It also gives the motor high overload capabilities as heat is lost via conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing. The motor housing is painted with a black prime coating that is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. It has an Ingress protection rating of IP 65. Hence, it is impermeable to solid external objects and water jet sprays. Thanks to inbuilt sensitive thermal sensors in its windings, damage caused by thermal overload can be prevented during the motor’s operation.
