Product Description
Intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat form cost-effective automation systems when combined with the servo motors of the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. These synchronous servo motors are available in varying degrees of torque and speed, giving users multiple options. Drives with the MDD motors are used in textile machines, robotics, machine tools, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130GB3 is a servo motor in the MDD series with a rotor whose permanent magnets are made from iron oxide materials. Hence, it has low inertia and a favorable torque-inertia mass ratio for high dynamics. It comes with electronic commutation, a feature that gives it a high overload capability, which is required for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor’s nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and it can generate a maximum torque of 64.5Nm. It belongs to Balance Class N according to DIN VDE 0530 for normal applications and is enclosed in a completely sealed housing. This housing prevents the entry of solid extrinsic objects and sprays from water jets; hence, it has an IP 65 rating.
Based on the standard housing design of the MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130GB3, it is cooled by natural convection or surface cooling. It is equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder to detect the motor’s absolute indirect position. This encoder replaces separate absolute encoders with the motor and maintains the absolute position of the axis even after a switch-off. It has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and operates using the optical measuring principle. A holding brake is also present in this MDD model with a holding torque of 60.0Nm.
