Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130GA0 is a digital AC servo motor. The motor supports digital servo feedback through an integrated multiurn absolute encoder. This encoder measures motor parameters including speed and torque. The encoder sends these measured motor parameters – known as feedback - to the drive controller. A dedicated feedback cable carries the feedback from the motor to the controller. Another cable connects the motor and the controller. This is the power cable through which the controller supplies motor power. The power socket on the motor, on which the power cable terminates, is on side A of the motor housing. Bosch provides blocking brakes for MDD motor. The MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130GA0 does not feature a blocking brake. Customers can order the brake separately if required. The motor features a plain shaft. Centering diameter of the MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130GA0 is 130 millimeters.
MDD motors cool via natural convection and surface cooling. Customer load requirements dictate the choice of cooling method. Surface cooling uses air flow from cooling fans or blowers for heat dissipation. That is why with surface cooling MDD motors deliver higher torque and current output. The ambient temperature range specified for MDD operation is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The motor output derates at higher temperatures. The installation site elevation range specified for MDD motors is up to 1000 meters. The motor output also derates at higher elevations. The IP65 rated MDD motors work in adverse environmental conditions. Nominal speed of the MDD112B-N-030-N2M-130GA0 motor is 3000 RPM. Installation errors can lead to a significant reduction in motor operating lifespan. For this reason Bosch recommends motor installation and operation by trained personnel. Furthermore, all safety instructions listed in the product documentation should be implemented.
