Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designs future-proof drive and motion control products to solve diverse automation challenges. Its MDD motors can be combined with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat to obtain rapid-response automation systems. Typical applications of the motors include machine tools, printing presses, and robotics.
The MDD112B-N-030-N2L-180GB1 is a servo motor in the MDD series enclosed in an IP 65-rated housing to ensure operational reliability. This housing is dustproof, touch-proof, and impervious to multidirectional jets, permitting the motor’s safe use under poor environmental conditions. It is also covered with a black prime varnish with high-level resistance to yellowing, chalky buildup, weathering, dilute acids, and lyes. The MDD motor model boasts a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute, generating a theoretical maximum torque of 64.5Nm. It is equipped with a blocking brake of 14.0Nm torque, which uses the closed-circuit principle to hold the servo axes at a standstill when the machine is powered off.
A thermal sensor built into the stator of the MDD112B-N-030-N2L-180GB1 protects it from permanent damage resulting from overheating. The motor also has an efficient mechanism for transferring heat from the stator windings to the external walls of its housing. It has a plain output shaft which ensures a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and a sealing ring that keeps fluids from penetrating through the shaft. Its motor feedback type is digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. This encoder detects its relative indirect position and uses the optical measuring principle. Thanks to electronic commutation, the MDD model can accommodate continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates without the risk of failure due to fatigue.
