Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD motors are highly functional synchronous servo motors used to build cost-effective automation systems. They are designed for maintenance-free operation with their brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. The motors also display high operational reliability. Drives with the MDD motors are used in handling equipment, machine tools, robotics, printing and paper-processing machines.
The MDD112B-N-030-N2L-130GB0 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It has a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute and a rotor whose moment of inertia is 120 x 10-4 kgm2. This rotor’s permanent magnets are made from rare-earth and iron oxide magnetic materials, giving the motor low inertia. It also has a favorable torque-inertia ratio that is ideal for highly dynamic operations. The encoder system of the MDD motor is digital servo feedback which uses the optical measurement method to precisely determine the motor’s position. Motor parameters like the type name and control loop parameters are also saved in the encoder’s data storage, ensuring its rapid start-up and its risk-free adjustment to the drive controller.
Electronic commutation is a feature of the MDD112B-N-030-N2L-130GB0 that makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. This is because it gives the motor a high cyclic load capacity. A plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring is present here to ensure a backlash-free, non-positive shaft-hub connection. The shaft sealing ring protects the motor from the entry of liquids into its housing along the shaft. As a product of Balance Class N according to DIN VDE 0530, this MDD model is suitable for normal applications. It supports high-precision applications that require enhanced synchronism, like the grinding machines.
