Product Description
Creating an efficient rapid-response automation system requires the combination of equally efficient components like the MDD servo motors and intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. The MDD motors also provide high contouring accuracies at high feedrates.
The MDD112B-N-020-N2M-130GB3 is a model of the synchronous servo motors in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its design allows the application of high radial loads; hence, pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to its shaft. It also has a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings so that it can be operated maintenance-free. With its compact build, the servo motor has a high power-to-weight ratio. Its electronic commutation feature makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates since it gives the motor a high cyclic load capacity. The motor’s cooling is via natural convection and surface cooling, permitting its use for extreme loads.
A black prime varnish coats the MDD112B-N-020-N2M-130GB3 and protects it from yellowing, weathering, chalky buildups, dilute acids, and lyes. The servo motor’s nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and the moment of inertia of its rotor is 120 x 10-4 kgm2. This rotor is composed of permanent magnets made from special materials so that the motor has low inertia and a favorable torque-inertia ratio for highly dynamic operations. With its sealed housing design, operating the servo motor under harsh environmental conditions without the risk of damage can be achieved. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to DIN 40 050, indicating that it is dustproof, touch-proof, and impervious to water jet sprays from different directions. Ideally, the ambient temperature at its site of operation should not exceed 45oC.
