Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s digital AC servo motors are versatile drive units that can be tailored to suit different application-specific uses. Its MDD motors are synchronous motors with slender construction and varying torques and speeds. Like other digital AC servo motors, they form rapid-response automation systems with Indramat digital drive controllers.
The MDD112B-N-020-N2L-130PA0 is a Bosch Rexroth permanent magnet-excited servo motor in the MDD series. It features a housing design that is suited for cooling by natural convection and surface cooling. As a result, it permits extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The housing is sealed to prevent the ingress of solid extrinsic materials like conductive dust and water jet sprays, giving it an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to EN 60529. Thanks to the thermal sensor in the stator windings of this MDD model, it is safe from irreversible damage caused by thermal overload. Heat is also efficiently dissipated from the motor to the exterior walls of its housing, contributing to its high overload capability.
Pinions and belt pulleys are directly attached to the shaft of the MDD112B-N-020-N2L-130PA0 because its design allows the application of high radial loads. The motor’s shaft is the type with a keyway per DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring. This shaft allows form-fitting torque transmission, and its sealing ring prevents fluids from entering the motor’s housing through the shaft. Digital servo feedback is the motor feedback type in this MDD model, and it uses the optical measuring principle to determine the motor’s relative indirect position. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute and its rotor’s moment of inertia is 120 x 10-4 kgm2.
