Product Description
Rapid-response automation systems enable fast and flexible adaptation to changing conditions, allowing for efficient operations in dynamic environments. Combining Bosch Rexroth’s synchronous MDD servo motors with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat will yield such a system.
The MDD112B-N-015-N2L-130PA1 is an MDD servo motor model built with a blocking brake of 14.0Nm holding torque. It holds the servo axis backlash-free when the machine is powered off, preventing the motor’s unintentional startup. This blocking brake uses the closed-circuit principle, enhancing energy-efficient operations and user safety. The servo motor’s bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours and remain lubricated during this period. As a result, the motor can be operated maintenance-free, improving its service life. Its compact size aids its simplified installation and permits its mounting in any orientation. It also displays a high power-to-weight ratio for increased efficiency and performance.
Due to the presence of a thermal sensor in the stator of the MDD112B-N-015-N2L-130PA1, irreversible damage due to thermal overload can be averted. The sensor monitors its temperature and initiates protective mechanisms at threshold temperatures. Another protective feature of the servo motor designed to promote its operational reliability is its sealed housing. It has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40 050, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jets from different directions. This housing also permits its safe use within the direct working area of the machine, even under poor environmental conditions. It is painted with a black prime varnish for protection against chalky buildup, weathering, and yellowing. The MDD servo motor model can attain a nominal speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute.
