Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is known for designing and manufacturing factory automation products that are used in the global drive and motion industry. The MDD servo motors by Bosch Rexroth are synchronous motors used to create rapid-response automation systems when combined with the Indramat digital drive controllers. Motors in this series are permanent magnet-excited with electronic commutation. Due to their electronic commutation, they have a high cyclic load capacity, permitting their use in continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.
The MDD112B-L-030-N2L-130PB2 is equipped with an integrated encoder system, the digital servo feedback. This encoder system allows the relative indirect evaluation of the motor's position and stores it in the intelligent digital drive. This encoder uses the optical measurement method and thus has a high degree of precision. The motor's output shaft is a shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1 for form-fitting shaft-hub-connections. It is equipped with a 40.0Nm blocking brake for a backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is disconnected from power. This model of the MDD series is particularly suited for operations that require high precision, like grinding machines.
The housing design of the MDD112B-L-030-N2L-130PB2 permits surface cooling and allows it to be used for operations that involve extreme loads. This design is according to the guidelines of the DIN 40050. The motor has a protection rating of IP 65. With this rating, the motor is protected against contact with high voltage with motor parts either moving or alive, the penetration by extrinsic objects, and the penetration of water. The motor housing is painted in prime black and is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes.
