The MDD095B-N-030-N2L-110GA0 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series with digital servo feedback. It can be operated maintenance-free thanks to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. Its bearings have a nominal service lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. The direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys is made possible by the motor’s design which allows the application of high radial loads. It comes with a sealed housing that protects it from damage, allowing operation in harsh environmental conditions. This housing design also prevents the entry of solid extrinsic materials and water jet sprays from different directions. Hence, its Ingress Protection rating in line with DIN 40 050 is IP 65.
Electronic commutation gives the MDD095B-N-030-N2L-110GA0 a high cyclic load capacity, making it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. It is cooled by natural convection and has a thermal sensor in its winding to monitor its temperature and prevent irreversible thermal overload damage. The heat generated during the motor’s operation is also efficiently dissipated from this stator to give it a high overload capacity. Its compact size allows it to be installed in any orientation and gives it a high power-to-weight ratio. The nominal speed of this MDD model is 3,000 revolutions per minute, while its centering diameter is 110mm. It should be installed at a maximum altitude of 1,000m above mean sea level.
