Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is the designer and manufacturer of the synchronous motors in the MDD series. These motors are used to create highly efficient, rapid-response automation systems by being combined with intelligent drive controllers by Indramat. They are also ideal for cutting in high-speed ranges since they ensure high contouring accuracies at high feed rates.
The MDD093C-N-040-N2M-130GA2 is a synchronous servo motor in the Bosch Rexroth MDD series. It has a brushless design that allows it to be operated maintenance-free, with bearings that remain lubricated throughout their lifetime of operation. The rotor of this motor is built with permanent magnet materials made from iron oxide; hence, the motor has low inertia. It also has a torque to inertia mass ratio that makes it suitable for high-dynamics operations. A temperature sensor that monitors the motor’s temperature is built into its windings, preventing it from damage due to thermal overload. The heat generated during its operation is also effectively dissipated with cooling methods, including natural convection and surface cooling.
With its integrated encoder system, the absolute indirect position of the MDD093C-N-040-N2M-130GA2 can be detected and stored in its drive controller. It uses digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder to achieve this. It uses the optical measuring principle, ensuring a high level of precision. The nominal speed of this motor is 4,000 revolutions per minute, and it has a theoretical maximum torque value of 60.6Nm. It is coated in a black prime varnish that is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. It also has an IP 65 protection rating according to EN 60529 since it is dust-proof and touch-proof.
