Product Description
The MDD digital AC servo motors are permanent-magnet excited motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. These motors are integrated with Indramat drive controllers to produce economical and rapid-response automatization systems. They are versatile devices that deliver high contouring accuracies. Typical applications of the MDD motors include textile machines, tool machines, robotics, and handling equipment.
The MDD093C-N-040-N2L-110PA2 is an MDD servo motor model with a centering diameter of 110mm. It is equipped with a digital servo feedback encoder with a ±0.5 angular minutes system accuracy, which operates optically and records the relative indirect position of the rotor. This information is stored in the drive controller and can be transmitted directly to the NC master control; hence, there is no need for this motor to possess a separate incremental encoder. The motor is designed for highly dynamic applications, including roller feeds for pressing, punching machines, and tool-changing devices. It is also housed in a black prime coat resistant to diluted acids and weathering damage.
Bosch Rexroth builds the MDD093C-N-040-N2L-110PA2 with a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute. It also has a rotor moment of inertia of 42 x 10⁻⁴ kgm² and a winding inductance of 1.6mH. Its output shaft is one with a keyway, allowing a form-fitting torque transmission suitable for lesser demands. It also has a theoretical maximum torque of 60.6Nm and conducts a peak current of 204.0A. This product cools via natural convection and possesses a 22Nm integrated blocking brake to clamp its axis during mechanical standstills. According to DIN VDE 0530, it is a product of Balance Class R; thus, it can be used in demanding and main spindle applications.
