Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designed the permanent magnet-excited motors of the MDD series to ensure high contouring accuracies at high feedrates. Some typical applications of the synchronous servo motors are machine tools, handling equipment, and printing machines.
The MDD093C-N-030-N2L-130PB2 is an MDD model with a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. It has power and feedback cables that meet the requirements of the IP 65 protection class per DIN 40 050. This permits its safe use within the direct working area of the machine, even under poor environmental conditions. Its sealed housing also corresponds to this protection rating and keeps the motor from dust ingress and moisture. Digital servo feedback in this MDD model evaluates its relative indirect position using the optical measurement principle. It stores the data obtained in the intelligent digital drive and replaces separate incremental encoders. The servo motor can reach a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute.
Unique materials are used in the construction of the MDD093C-N-030-N2L-130PB2, giving the motor low inertia and a favorable torque-inertia ratio. The moment of inertia of this rotor is 42 x 10 kgm2. To monitor the motor’s temperature and prevent damage due to overheating, it is equipped with an inbuilt thermal sensor in its windings. Its output shaft is the type with keyway per DIN 6885-1 and a standard shaft sealing to prevent fluid entry. This shaft ensures form-fitting torque transmission and the proper alignment of the shaft and the driven mechanism. The centering diameter of the MDD model is 130mm, and it can generate a theoretical maximum torque of 60.6Nm. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 in line with DIN 40 050.
