Product Description
A distinguishing feature of the MDD synchronous servo motors by Bosch Rexroth is electronic commutation. This gives the permanent magnet-excited motors high cyclic load capacity. Drives with the servo motors are used in robotics, machine tools, handling equipment, textile machines, and food processing and packaging machines.
The MDD093C-N-030-N2L-110PB2 is an MDD motor featuring digital servo feedback for the evaluation of its relative indirect position. This encoder eliminates the need for separate incremental encoders and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. It also has a data memory where the type name and control loop parameters are stored to accelerate startup. The centering diameter of this MDD model is 110mm, while its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 42 x 10-4 kgm2, and it generates a theoretical maximum torque of 60.6Nm. The thermal sensor in its stator monitors its temperature and protects it from the irreversibly damaging effects of overheating.
Weathering, chalky buildup, yellowing, lyes, and dilute acids have minimal effects on the MDD093C-N-030-N2L-110PB2 due to the black prime varnish covering its housing. This housing is sealed, allowing the safe operation of the motor under poor environmental conditions. It also has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 in line with DIN 40 050, indicating that it does not admit solid extrinsic materials or water jets from different directions. The designated cooling mechanisms for heat dissipation from this servo motor are natural convection and surface cooling. It belongs to Balance Class R per DIN VDE 0530; hence, it is well-suited for demanding applications. Ideally, the maximum altitude for its installation is 1,000m above mean sea level.
