Product Description
Users of drive and motion control units acknowledge the efficiency of the state-of-the-art products from Bosch Rexroth. These include the MDD family of synchronous servo motors with various continuous speed and torque values. They are primarily used in applications like transfer facilities, textile machines, robotics, and printing and packaging machines.
The MDD093C-N-020-R2L-110PL1 is a servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD class of motors. It is a powerful model with a high power density, ideal for applications that require high dynamics, such as tool changing devices. Its sealed housing gives it an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating, indicating that it is dustproof, touch-proof, and safe from water jet sprays. This housing is coated in a prime black varnish which is resistant to chalky buildup, weathering, yellowing, and lye. It also supports cooling by natural convection and surface cooling, and as a result, the motor can allow extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequencies. The MDD motor can generate a theoretical maximum torque of 60.6Nm and reach a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute.
Electronic commutation is a feature of the MDD093C-N-020-R2L-110PL1. The motor has a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings; hence, it can be operated maintenance-free. Its output shaft is one with a keyway per DIN 6885 and a protective shaft sealing ring that prevents fluid from entering the machine through the shaft. This MDD model is also equipped with a blocking brake of 11.0Nm to ensure the backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is powered off. Its centering diameter is 110mm, and its motor feedback system for relative indirect position detection is digital servo feedback.
