Product Description
Indramat digital drive controllers can be upgraded to form cost-effective, rapid-response automation systems. To achieve this, they are combined with digital AC servo motors by Bosch Rexroth, such as the MDD motors. These compact motors offer impressive contouring accuracies at high feed rates. Their typical applications include printing and paper processing machines, robotics, and transfer facilities.
The MDD093C-N-020-R2L-110GA0 is a model of the MDD synchronous servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It features digital servo feedback for the detection of its relative indirect position. This encoder system uses the optical measurement method and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular seconds. It has an inbuilt data memory where parameters like the motor type name are stored, guaranteeing its quick startup and safe adjustment to its drive controller. Natural convection and surface cooling are the supported cooling methods for this MDD model; hence, it is suitable for extreme loads. It also has a rotor with a moment of inertia of 42 x 10-4 kgm2, whose permanent magnets are made from rare earth and iron oxide materials. As a result, the motor has a beneficial torque-inertia for high dynamics.
With its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings, the MDD093C-N-020-R2L-110GA0 can be operated maintenance-free. It is enclosed in a housing coated with a black prime varnish with impressive resistance to weathering, yellowing, and chalky build-up. This housing is also sealed and impenetrable to conductive dust and water jet sprays, giving it an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to EN 60529. The motor has a thermal sensor in its windings to prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute.
