Product Description
Bosch Rexroth offers a wide range of high-quality drive and motion control units, including the MDD servo motors. These motors provide high contouring accuracies at high speed rates, especially when used for cutting at high speed ranges.
The MDD093C-N-020-N2M-110GB0 is an MDD motor with a rotor moment of inertia of 61 x 10-4 kgm2. It is a permanent-magnet excited motor whose rotor is composed of magnets made from unique materials. Its cooling mechanisms are natural convection and surface cooling; hence, it is suitable for extreme loads. Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder comprises its integrated feedback system. It evaluates the motor’s absolute indirect position, but can also be used for its relative direction. This encoder replaces separate absolute encoders and retains the absolute position of the axis even after power is switched off. Thanks to the thermal sensor in the stator of the MDD motor, irreversible damage due to overheating can be averted.
A plain output shaft in the MDD093C-N-020-N2M-110GB0 provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. It has a sealing ring to prevent fluid from penetrating through the shaft. The motor can be operated maintenance-free as it has a brushless design and bearings that stay lubricated throughout their service life. It is dynamically balanced in terms of Balance Class R per DIN VDE 0530; hence, it is suited for demanding operations. Other applications for which this model is suited include roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines, and tool-changing devices. Its housing is sealed and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40 050, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and safe from multidirectional water jets.
