Product Description
Bosch Rexroth manufactures some of the most powerful servo motors used in the global drive and motion control industry. One of its products is the servo motors in the MDD series. They are maintenance-free motors used in setting up rapid-response automation systems with the digital drive controllers from Indramat. The motors are also used to build drives that are used in equipment like handling equipment, transfer facilities, textile industries, and printing and packaging machines.
The MDD093C-N-020-N2M-110GA1 is a servo motor model in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It is a permanent magnet synchronous motor whose rotor is made from magnets composed of iron oxide or rare earth metals. These materials make the motor a low inertia model, giving it a favorable torque to inertia ratio that makes it ideal for high dynamics operations. The motor’s housing supports cooling by natural convection and surface cooling to accommodate extreme loads. It is coated in a black prime varnish that is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes.
The nominal speed of the MDD093C-N-020-N2M-110GA1 is 2,000 revolutions per minute. Its rotor has a moment of inertia of 42 x 10-4 kgm2, while its theoretical maximum torque is 60.6Nm. It is equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This encoder has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and works with the optical measuring principle. It also has a data memory where the motor’s parameters are saved and ensures the quick startup of the motor. It can be safely operated under adverse environmental conditions as its housing is completely sealed and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65.
