They are components of rapid-response automation systems formed with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. Drives with these motors are used in textile machines, machine tools, and food processing and packaging machines.
The MDD093C-F-030-N2L-110GA2 is a model of the compact synchronous servo motors in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its construction gives it a high power-to-weight ratio, while its favorable torque-inertia ratio makes it suitable for high dynamics. The rotor in this model is built from permanent magnets comprising rare earth and iron oxide. This motor also has electronic commutation, a feature that gives it high cyclic load capacity and makes it suitable for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequency. Its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearing allow it to be operated maintenance-free. The bearing has a service life of 30,000 operating hours and supports high radial loads.
A plain output shaft is built into the MDD093C-F-030-N2L-110GA2 to provide a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. It has a shaft sealing ring that protects the motor from damage by the entry of fluids like hydraulic oils. According to EN 60529, this MDD model belongs to the IP 65 Ingress Protection class, indicating that it is dustproof, touch-proof, and impermeable to water jet sprays. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, while its centering diameter is 110mm. The integrated encoder system in the motor is digital servo feedback of ±0.5 angular minutes system accuracy. It detects its relative indirect position using the optical measurement method and transfers the information obtained to the drive controller.
