Product Description
Built to provide the optimum solution for different applications, the MDD family of permanent-magnet motors by Bosch Rexroth are fitted with impressive features. They include a favorable torque-inertia ratio, high power-to-weight ratio, slender and space-conserving construction, and precise encoder systems.
The MDD093B-N-040-R2L-130PA0 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It features digital servo feedback, an encoder version that uses the optical measuring principle to evaluate the motor’s relative indirect position. This encoder also contributes to the rapid start-up of the motor and its safe adjustment to its drive controller with its data memory. There, information like the motor’s type name and its parameters are stored and set on start-up. This MDD model is designed to be cooled by natural convection and surface cooling. Heat is efficiently eliminated from its stator windings to the walls of its housing; hence, it has a high overload capability.
According to EN 60529, the Ingress Protection rating of the MDD093B-N-040-R2L-130PA0 is IP 65. It has a sealed housing that prevents dust ingress and the penetration of water jets from different directions. Like others in the MDD series, it has a brushless design and is equipped with bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life, permitting its maintenance-free operation. It also has a high cyclic load capacity due to electronic commutation. Additionally, the permanent magnet of its rotor is composed of rare-earth and iron oxide materials, giving the motor low inertia. It has a centering diameter of 130mm and a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute. The output shaft is one with a keyway designed according to DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring.
