Product Description
The MDD digital AC servo motors by Bosch Rexroth are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. Their design allows high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, particularly when they are used for cutting in high-speed ranges. They are combined with drive controllers from Indramat to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems. These powerful motors suit applications including machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
Characterized by a high power density, the MDD093B-N-040-R2L-110GB0 is suited for dynamic operations like roller feeds for pressing, punching, nibbling machines, and tool changing devices. Its integrated encoder system is digital servo feedback, used for evaluating its relative indirect position. The encoder also has a data storage capability for filing the motor's parameters. This MDD model has a standard housing design that enables cooling by natural convection and a high overload capability due to efficient heat conduction.
According to DIN VDE 0530, the MDD093B-N-040-R2L-110GB0 is balanced in terms of Balance Class R. This balance class is ideal for demanding operations like grinding machines and servo motors in main spindle applications. The motor’s installation is simple as it can be done in any desired position. It is equipped with a plain shaft for non-positive shaft-hub connections and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40050. Thanks to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings, it can be operated maintenance-free. The bearing has a nominal lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. Operating this motor requires an ambient temperature between 0°C and 40°C and maximum relative humidity of 95%. It should also be set up at a maximum height of 1000m above mean sea level.
