Product Description
The MDD synchronous motors by Bosch Rexroth are permanent magnet-excited with electronic commutation. There are nine motors in this motor series with specific advantages for application-specific functions. They can be combined with the intelligent Indramat digital drive controllers to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems. These motors ensure high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, particularly when used for cutting at high-speed ranges. They are used in printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
Due to its electronic commutation, the MDD093B-N-030-N2M-130PB1 has a high cyclic load capacity. Hence, it is used in continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. This motor is specifically characterized by a high power density, so it is used for highly dynamic operations like roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines and tool changing devices. It is equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder which permits an absolute indirect position detection on the motor. This motor has an 11.0Nm blocking brake, and its output shaft is a shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1 for form-fitting shaft-hub-connections.
The housing design of the MDD093B-N-030-N2M-130PB1 makes it suitable for cooling by natural convection and surface cooling. Due to this design, it can be used for operations that involve extreme loads. The design is according to the guidelines of the DIN 40 050 and has an Ingress protection rating of IP 65. This means it is protected against contact with high voltage motor parts, either moving or alive, the penetration by extrinsic objects, and the penetration of water. The housing varnish is a prime black coating that is immune to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes.
