Product Description
Combining the powerful synchronous servo motors of the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth with digital drive controllers from Indramat produces cost-effective, rapid-response systems. The compact servo motors are also ideal for high contouring accuracies at high feed rates.
The MDD093B-N-030-N2L-130GB2 is an MDD model with a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. It uses digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes for relative indirect position determination and speed control. The integrated encoder system uses the optical measuring principle and eliminates the need for an independent encoder with the motor. A thermal sensor in the servo motor’s stator winding monitors its temperature to protect it from damage caused by thermal overload. It is cooled via surface cooling and natural convection; hence, it supports extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequency. Electronic commutation is another feature of the MDD model that accommodates this function. It also has a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings for maintenance-free operation.
A plain shaft is built into the MDD093B-N-030-N2L-130GB2 for a backlash-free and non-positive torque transmission. It comes with a shaft sealing ring that prevents fluids from entering the motor through its shaft to cause damage. This MDD motor’s Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per EN 60529. This means that solid extrinsic objects and multidirectional water jet sprays cannot penetrate it to cause damage. As a result, it is safe for use in poor environmental conditions. The motor’s centering diameter is 130mm, while its theoretical maximum torque is 45.1Nm. It can also accommodate a maximum current of 108.2A and has a rotor moment of inertia of 29 x 10-4 kgm2.
