Product Description
The MDD motor series comprises digital AC servo motors designed and produced by INDRAMAT. These motors are set up to execute high precision control and achieve high contouring accuracies at high feed rates. These motors are fused with INDRAMAT digital drive controllers to create cost-effective and efficient automatization systems. Common applications of the MDD motors include handling equipment, robotics, transfer facilities, printing and packaging machinery, and textile machines.
The MDD093B-N-020-N2M-130PB2 is a model motor of MDD size 093. It has a mass of 16.5kg and exhibits a nominal motor speed of 2000 min⁻¹. With the inclusion of a brushless design and lifelong-lubricated bearings, it effectively executes maintenance-free operations. This motor is balanced in terms of balance class R per DIN VDE 0530, enabling its application in main spindle operations. This motor is enclosed in a black prime coating of a thickness not more than 40 µm. This protects the device against damage from weathering and dilutes acids. However, this protection can be damaged by constant cleaning using a steam cleaner. According to IEC 721-3-3, this motor can function in a stationary manner under weatherproofed conditions.
Typical of other MDD093 motors, the MDD093B-N-020-N2M-130PB2 is suited to highly dynamic tasks. These are present in punching machines, nibbling machines, and so on. With the availability of an electrically released 22Nm blocking brake, the axis of this motor is clamped during any mechanical standstill. In addition, it has digital feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. It also presents an output shaft with a keyway which is designed for operations of lesser demands. INDRAMAT recommends installing and operating this device at a maximum elevation of 1000m above sea level.
