Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a global manufacturer of drive and motion control units with diverse applications. Its MDD motors are synchronous servo motors designed to guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feedrates. They are used in robotics, machine tools, and textile machines.
The MDD093B-N-020-N2M-130PA1 is a servo motor in the MDD series with a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute. It has a centering diameter of 130mm and accommodates high radial loads because it supports heat elimination via surface cooling. Alternatively, it is cooled with natural convection where heat is exchanged with the cooler ambient air along a temperature gradient. Its encoder is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder, which has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. The encoder uses the optical measurement method to provide high-level precision and eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder. Its data memory guarantees faster startup and the safe adaptation of the motor to its drive controller.
Apart from a sealed housing that is dustproof and touch-proof, the MDD093B-N-020-N2M-130PA1 is protected by a black prime varnish. This makes the IP 65-rated housing safe from potentially harmful agents like yellowing, weathering, and chalky buildup. The servo motor has a torque constant of 0.86Nm/A at 20oC and theoretical maximum torque of 45.1Nm. It has a high power density, making it suitable for highly dynamic operations like roller feeds for punching, pressing and nibbling machines. Its electrically released holding brake of 11.0Nm holds the axes at a standstill when the machine is disconnected from power. This motor’s output shaft is with a keyway and shaft sealing ring to provide a form-fitting torque transmission.
