Product Description
Having innovation as a major driving factor is one reason why Bosch Rexroth has garnered loyalty among users of automation products worldwide. The company’s compact MDD servo motors are high-performance units used to build rapid-response systems by combining them with Indramat digital drive controllers.
The MDD093B-N-020-N2L-130GA1 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its high power density makes it an ideal option for highly dynamic operations like tool-changing devices and roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines. It also has a rotor made of permanent magnet materials that give it a low inertia. The servo motor has a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute and generates a maximum torque of 45.1Nm. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65, in line with DIN 40 050 since its housing is sealed and impenetrable to solid objects and water jets. This housing design also allows it to be used in harsh environmental conditions without the risk of damage.
A black prime varnish coats the MDD093B-N-020-N2L-130GA1 and protects it from damage caused by yellowing, weathering, dilute acids, and chalky buildups. It also has a brushless design and bearings that stay lubricated throughout their service life. Hence, the motor can be operated maintenance-free. Electronic commutation gives it a high cyclic load capacity so that it can support continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The encoder in this model is digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. It evaluates the motor’s relative indirect position and eliminates the need for a separate encoder. This MDD model is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling.
