Product Description
The MDD093B-F-040-N2M-110PA1 is a 4000 rpm servo motor that can provide a continuous shaft rotation torque of 14.5 Nm when used in locked rotor configuration, which is mostly used in robotics applications. This servo draws approximately 36.5 Amperes of current at locked rotor configuration and has a maximum peak torque rating of 45.1 Nm while drawing 164.8 amperes of current. To ensure this motor receives adequate power, the motor should be combined with the compatible power supply module as recommended by the manufacturer.
To keep the motor cool, it is very important that this motor be mounted and operated in areas where the ambient temperature is between 0 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius. To further help with cooling, this servo motor features a standard housing design that can be used for natural convection phenomena, where the ambient air will help cool the motor's enclosure, which in turn helps lower the temperature of the coil.
With an onboard multiturn absolute encoder, the MDD093B-F-040-N2M-110PA1 shaft rotation becomes much more accurate as it can position the shaft with fine accuracy with an encoder resolution of 2048 steps per rotation. This encoder is capable of performing multiple turns and also counting the number of turns. The centering diameter of this servo motor is 110 mm, allowing the motor to be installed in areas with confined spaces. This motor also comes with an 11 Nm holding brake to keep the shaft of the motor locked and fixed in a desired position, and the brake remains energized even if the motor loses power. The clamping time delay for this brake is 30 ms, while it takes approximately 70 ms for the brake to de-energize and release the brake from the clamp.
