Product Description
Bosch Rexroth has made a name for itself in factory automation and motion control by creating state-of-the-art products, including servo motors, drive controllers, and inverters. Its compact MDD servo motors are permanent magnet-excited motors that combine with Indramat digital drive controllers to form rapid-response automation systems.
The MDD093A-N-060-N2L-130GB0 is a Bosch Rexroth synchronous servo motor in the MDD series equipped with digital servo feedback. This highly precise encoder system uses optical measurement to evaluate the motor’s relative indirect position and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. It also eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder and can be used for relative direct position detection. The servo motor has a nominal speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute and tolerates a peak current of 165.8A. In addition, it has a rotor with a moment of inertia of 22 x 10-4 kgm2. This rotor is composed of permanent magnet materials that give the motor low inertia.
Pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to the shaft of the MDD093A-N-060-N2L-130GB0 because its design allows the application of high radial loads. This shaft is the plain type and it provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. It also has a standard shaft sealing ring that prevents fluids from entering through the shaft to cause damage. According to DIN 40 050, the Ingress Protection rating of this MDD model is IP 65 as it does not permit the entry of solid extrinsic materials and multidirectional water jets. The motor’s cooling methods are natural convection or surface cooling; hence, it supports extreme loads. Ideally, it should be operated at an ambient temperature between 0oC and 40oC.
