The MDD digital AC servo motors are high-performance synchronous servo motors designed by Bosch Rexroth for diverse applications. The motors are available in different degrees of torque and speeds, each suited for specific applications. When they are combined with the intelligent drive controllers developed by Indramat, rapid-response automation systems are formed. They are also used to create drives used in robotics, machine tools, handling equipment, printing and packaging machines, and textile machines.
The MDD093A-N-060-N2L-110PL0 is an MDD synchronous servo motor with a frame size of 093 and length A. Its housing design allows it to support cooling by natural convection and surface cooling. Surface cooling is the ideal cooling option for the motor when it is used with extreme loads, as seen in continuous start-stop operations with a high level of repetitive frequency. The temperature sensors built into its motor windings protect it against damage due to thermal overload. It can be operated maintenance-free since its bearings remain lubricated throughout their lifespan of operation. Its nominal speed is 6,000 revolutions per minute and its theoretical maximum torque is 28.6Nm.
The housing of the MDD093A-N-060-N2L-110PL0 is coated in a black prime coating that protects the motor from weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. The housing is also completely sealed, allowing the motor to be operated even in relatively unfavorable environmental conditions. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65, so it is protected against the penetration of dust and solid extrinsic objects. It is also protected against water jets sprayed from all directions. The centering diameter of the motor is 110m and it uses digital servo feedback of +/- 0.5 angular minutes system accuracy.
