Product Description
Efficient factory automation demands the use of highly functional equipment such as the servo motors of the MDD series. These synchronous servo motors are components of rapid-response automation systems. The systems are formed by combining the motors with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. Their uses are seen in textile machines, robotics, and machine tools.
The MDD093A-N-040-N2L-110PA0 is a permanent-magnet excited servo motor in the MDD family of motors by Bosch Rexroth. Its rotor is made of magnetic materials made from iron oxide or rare-earth magnetic materials. Hence, the motor has a low-inertia and a favorable torque-to-inertia mass ratio for highly dynamic operations. Electronic commutation is a feature of this servo motor that makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. This is because it gives it a high cyclic load capacity. The motor’s brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings also allow it to operate maintenance-free, thereby saving costs.
Since it is balanced in terms of Balance Class R according to DIN VDE 0530, the MDD093A-N-040-N2L-110PA0 can be used for demanding applications such as grinding machines. Its centering diameter is 110mm, and it has a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute. The moment of inertia of its rotor is 22 x 10-4 kgm2, while its theoretical maximum torque is 28.6Nm. Operating this MDD servo motor under poor environmental conditions can be done safely as its housing is completely sealed. Its Ingress Protection class is IP 65 according to EN 60529, indicating that it is impenetrable to solid extrinsic objects and sprays from water jets. The output shaft here for connecting machine elements to be driven is one with a keyway and sealing ring.
