Bosch Rexroth’s MDD AC digital servo motors are safe and reliable synchronous motors with wide areas of application. They are designed to ensure high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when used for cutting in high-speed ranges. When combined with intelligent drive controllers from Indramat, they create cost-effective and rapid response automation systems. They are suitable for several functions, including machine tools, textiles machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD093A-N-040-N2L-110GB0 has a high power density, making it suitable for highly dynamic operations like roller feeds for pressing, punching, nibbling machines, and tool changing devices. It is equipped with an integrated digital servo feedback system for the evaluation of the motor’s relative indirect position. This motor feedback option is also equipped with a data storage feature, allowing the storage of the motor parameters. The MDD model has a plain output shaft which allows a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of the torque. It also has a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute and a standard centering diameter of 110mm.
With its standard housing design, the MDD093A-N-040-N2L-110GB0 is suitable for cooling by natural convection. There is efficient heat conduction from the static windings to the outside wall of the housing, which gives it high overload capabilities. The housing varnish is a black prime coating that is resistant to weathering, yellowing, and chalky build-ups, as well as diluted acids and lyes. Its housing protects it against contact with high voltage with motor parts either moving or alive (contact guards). The penetration of the motor by solid extrinsic objects and water is also prevented; hence, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65.
