Product Description
Indramat’s digital drive controllers are components of rapid-response automation systems by Bosch Rexroth. Such systems are formed when they are combined with digital AC servo motors such as those in the MDD series. Their applications include machine tools, printing machines, and robotics.
The MDD093A-N-030-N2M-130GB1 is a model of the maintenance-free synchronous servo motors in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It comes with a plain output shaft that provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and a shaft sealing ring. The shaft sealing ring prevents liquids from penetrating the housing along the shaft. As a result, the Ingress Protection Rating of the motor is IP 65 per EN 60529, thanks to its sealed housing. This means it is touch-proof and impervious to dust ingress and multidirectional water jet sprays. The closed design also allows it to be operated under poor environmental conditions with minimal risks of damage. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and its theoretical maximum torque is 28.6Nm.
Maintenance-free operation is possible with the MDD093A-N-030-N2M-130GB1 because of its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearing. The motor is cooled via a natural convection mechanism that transfers heat to the ambient air. It has a high overload capability since this heat is also efficiently eliminated from the stator windings to the walls of the machine construction. A thermal sensor is built into the stator windings to protect it from damage due to temperature overload. The motor’s blocking brake of 11.0Nm torque ensures the backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is powered off. It has a centering diameter of 130mm and low inertia due to its favorable torque-weight inertia.
