Product Description
By investing in consistent innovation, Bosch Rexroth has distinguished itself in the drive and automation industry. It created the permanent-magnet excited servo motors of the MDD series that ensure high contouring accuracies at high feedrates.
The MDD093A-N-030-N2M-110PA1, a model of the MDD synchronous motors by Bosch Rexroth reaches a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. It is enclosed in a sealed housing that prevents the entry of water jets from different directions and solid extrinsic materials, including dust. Hence, its Ingress Protection rating in line with DIN 40 050 is IP 65. This housing has a layer of a black prime varnish covering it to protect the motor from the effects of weathering, chalky buildup, yellowing, and lyes. An additional layer of varnish can be added to this to provide extra protection. By design, the rotor of the MDD servo motor has permanent magnets built from special materials to give a low inertia. It also supports highly dynamic operations since it has a favourable torque-inertia ratio.
Lifetime-lubricated bearings in the MDD093A-N-030-N2M-110PA1 permit its maintenance-free operation. This is aided by its brushless design since fewer parts of the motor are susceptible to wear and tear. Equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder, the absolute indirect position of this MDD model can be detected precisely. The encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes, while its measuring principle is optical. It replaces separate incremental encoders and retains the absolute position of the axis even when power is switched off. This MDD servo motor has an output shaft with keyway for form-fitting torque transmission and a sealing ring that prevents fluid penetration.
