Product Description
Building future-proof automation systems like those by Bosch Rexroth requires high-quality components such as the MDD servo motors. These efficient drive units are a class of digital AC servo motors that are combined with Indramat drive controllers to form rapid-response automation systems. Their applications include textile machines and robotics.
The MDD093A-N-030-N2L-130GA2 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series with a brushless design. Combined with its lifetime-lubricated bearing of 30,000 operating hours, this allows it to be operated maintenance-free. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and it accommodates a peak current of 79.9A. The permanent magnet of the motor’s rotor is made from iron oxide and rare earth materials, giving it low inertia. As a result, it has a beneficial torque-inertia ratio for high dynamics. Like other MDD models, it comes in a sealed housing coated with a black prime varnish that is resistant to chalky buildup, weathering, and lye. The Ingress Protection rating of the housing is IP 65 per EN 60529, indicating that it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and impermeable to water jet sprays.
To provide a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash, the MDD093A-N-030-N2L-130GA2 is equipped with a plain output shaft. It also has a shaft sealing ring that protects the motor from penetration by hydraulic oils through the shaft. The motor feedback system here is digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. It uses the optical measuring principle to achieve high-level precision and eliminates the need for a separate encoder. Another notable feature of this servo motor is its high overload capability resulting from efficient heat dissipation via natural convection and surface cooling.
