Product Description
Built with a high power density, the synchronous servo motors of the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth are suitable for several applications. They also have a high power-to-weight ratio and excellent synchronous operation features. They are used in robotics and transfer facilities.
The MDD090C-N-040-N2M-110GB0 is a model of the compact digital AC servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. It offers impressive operational reliability with its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. Since these bearings do not require additional lubrication, they aid the motor’s cost-effective operation and reduce downtime. With the servo motor, environmental safety can also be maintained because pollutants like discarded lubricants are eliminated. This MDD model’s housing design supports cooling by natural convection and surface cooling. The use of a surface cooling unit means it can accommodate extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequencies. Such operations are also supported by the high cyclic load capacity of the motor facilitated by electronic commutation.
As a motor dynamically balanced in terms of Balance Class R per DIN VDE 0530, the MDD090C-N-040-N2M-110GB0 is ideal for demanding applications. It is also suitable for high-precision applications where extreme synchronism is required like grinding machines. The nominal speed of the motor is 4,000 revolutions per minute. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 53 x 10-4 kgm2, while its centering diameter is 110mm. Its output shaft is plain with a shaft sealing ring that keeps fluids from penetrating. This shaft provides a backlash-free and non-positive torque transmission. The MDD model can be safely operated within the direct working area of the machine, thanks to its sealed housing with an IP 65 rating according to DIN 40 050.
