Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD digital AC servo motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with magnets made of rare earth or iron oxide magnetic materials. These motors have electronic commutation that gives them a high cyclic load capacity and makes them suitable for high-frequency operations. They have extensive functionality and can be used for just about any application. Their areas of applications include machine tools, textiles machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD090C-N-040-N2L-110GB1 is specifically used in high-precision operations where an extreme degree of synchronism is required, such as grinding machines. The motor feedback is digital servo feedback used to evaluate the position and speed of the motor and to detect the rotor position. It has a data memory for reading and storing the motor's data. This feedback uses the optical measurement method, hence the high degree of precision. The MDD motor model has a high degree of operational reliability due to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings that ensure a maintenance-free operation.
A 6.5 Nm blocking brake is present in the MDD090C-N-040-N2L-110GB1 for a backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is powered off. It has a plain shaft for non-positive shaft hub connections and the backlash-free, non-positive transmission of the torque. With its standard housing design, it is suitable for cooling via natural convection. This design also gives the motor high overload capabilities as heat is lost via conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing. The housing is painted with a black prime coating which is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes.
