Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD digital AC servo motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. They are used in conjunction with intelligent digital drive controllers also from Bosch Rexroth to create cost-effective and rapid response automation systems. They have a wide range of applications, including printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities. Their design allows high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when used for cutting in high-speed ranges.
The MDD090C-N-030-N2M-110PB0 is used for high-precision applications where extreme synchronism is required, like in grinding machines. Its motor feedback is digital servo feedback, with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder feature. This encoder has a data storage where the motor’s parameters are stored. The motor has a high overload capability owing to efficient heat conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of its housing. It also features an output shaft with a keyway and shaft sealing ring for a form-fitting shaft-hub connection.
The housing of the MDD090C-N-030-N2M-110PB0 is painted with a black prime coating which is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. The housing has a protection rating of IP 65 according to EN 60529, which means it cannot be damaged by the penetration by solid extrinsic objects and water. Thanks to these features, the motor can be operated under adverse environmental conditions. It is also cooled by natural convection and surface cooling; hence, it supports extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequency. It should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C, maximum relative humidity of 95%, and installed at a maximum height of 1000m above mean sea level.
