Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is known for designing and manufacturing factory automation products that are used in the global drive and motion industry, and one of such is the MDD digital AC servo motor. The MDD motors are permanent magnet-excited servo motors with electronic commutation. They are used to create rapid-response automation systems when combined with the Indramat digital drive controllers. These motors have several areas of applications such as machine tools, textiles machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The motor feedback of the MDD090C-N-020-N2M-130GB1 is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder. This allows absolute indirect position detection on the motor. It is equipped with a plain output shaft for non-positive shaft-hub connections. The MDD model also has a blocking brake with a 6.5Nm torque to hold the output shaft at a standstill when the power is turned off. It also has a high degree of operational reliability due to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings that ensure a maintenance-free operation.
Efficient heat conduction from the stator windings of the MDD090C-N-020-N2M-130GB1 to the outside walls of its housing gives it a high overload capability. The housing has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40 050, indicating that it cannot be damaged by the penetration of solid extrinsic objects or water jet sprays. Another protective feature of the motor is its black prime coating, which is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. It functions optimally at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and relative humidity of 95%. Ideally, it should be installed and operated at a maximum height of 1000m above mean sea level.
