Product Description
Drives with the MDD motors by Bosch Rexroth are well-suited for use in machine tools, handling equipment, transfer facilities, and robotics. This is due to their wide range of features, including their compact size, impressive precision, and high power density.
The MDD090C-N-020-N2L-130GA0 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a maintenance-free digital AC servo motor with lifetime-lubricated bearings and a brushless design. Digital servo feedback evaluates its relative indirect position with the optical measuring principle to ensure high precision. Its encoder has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and replaces the use of separate incremental encoders. The servo motor reaches a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute and has a rotor moment of inertia of 8.9 x 10-4 kgm2. It is equipped with a plain output shaft that provides a non-positive torque transmission with zero backlash. This MDD model is cooled via natural convection and surface cooling.
Coated with a black prime varnish, the housing of the MDD090C-N-020-N2L-130GA0 protects it from weathering, yellowing, and chalky buildup. According to the standard of DIN 40 050, the motor’s Ingress Protection rating is IP 65. This is because its housing is sealed, preventing the penetration of solid external objects and multidirectional water jets. The housing’s design also permits the motor’s operation within the direct working area of the machine, even under harsh environmental conditions. Pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to its shaft because it allows the application of high radial loads. It should be installed and operated at a maximum height of 1,000m above sea level and a maximum ambient temperature of 45oC.
