Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD servo motors come in varying torques and sizes. They are permanent-magnet synchronous motors used to build economic automation systems by combining them with the Indramat intelligent digital drive controllers. Drives with these motors are used in robotics, textile machines, handling equipment, and printing and processing machines.
The MDD090C-N-020-N2L-110GA0 is an MDD servo motor model with a frame size of 090 and a frame length of C. It is well-suited for high-precision applications that require high synchronism, as seen in grinding machines. Its rotor’s permanent magnet is made from iron oxide materials; hence, the motor has low inertia and can be used for high-dynamics operations. Heat elimination in this MDD model is by natural convection and surface cooling. It has a high overload capability and a temperature monitoring system in its windings. It can also be installed easily and in any orientation. In addition, its flange design supports mounting per Design B5 and Design B14.
Thanks to its completely sealed housing, the safe operation of the MDD090C-N-020-N2L-110GA0 under poor environmental conditions is possible. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to EN 60529, meaning that solid extrinsic objects and water jets cannot penetrate it. The motor is coated in a black prime varnish that is highly resistant to weathering, yellowing, and the buildup of chalky residue. Its encoder is digital servo feedback, and it works with the optical measuring principle for the precise evaluation of the motor’s position. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, while the moment of inertia of its rotor is 53 x 10-4 kgm2. During its operation, the ambient temperature should be kept between 0oC and 45oC.
