Product Description
When Bosch Rexroth’s digital AC servo motors are connected to intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat, a cost-effective and rapid-response automation system is obtained. The MDD family of motors is a group of such servo motors with numerous applications, including machine tools, robotics, and handling machines.
The MDD090B-N-030-N2M-110GB0 is a Bosch Rexroth synchronous servo motor in the MDD series. Like others in the series, it is a maintenance-free servo motor due to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. Its nominal bearing lifespan is 30,000 operating hours, and these bearings support the simple installation of the motor on the machine. The nominal speed of this MDD model is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and it belongs to the Balance Class R for standard applications. Its centering diameter is 110mm, while its rotor’s moment of inertia is 36 x 10-4 kgm2. The motor’s design supports heat elimination via surface cooling and natural convection. It is also equipped with a thermal sensor in its windings to prevent damage due to thermal overload by alerting users at specified threshold temperatures.
Pinions and belt pulleys are directly attached to the shaft of the MDD090B-N-030-N2M-110GB0, allowing the application of high radial loads. Its shaft is a plain type with a shaft sealing ring that penetrates liquids from entering the machine through the shaft. The motor also features digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder which uses the optical measurement method for speed and position control. This encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes, and it preserves the absolute position of the axis even after disconnection from power. According to EN 60529, the motor’s Ingress Protection rating is IP 65.
