Product Description
To continually establish its position as a reliable engineering brand, Bosch Rexroth invests in the creation of high-quality products. Its MDD synchronous servo motors are maintenance-free servo motors with electronic commutation. They form cost-effective, rapid-response automation systems with drive controllers from Indramat.
The MDD090B-N-020-N2M-110PA0 is a model of the Bosch Rexroth MDD servo motors with a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute and a maximum current rating of 48.6A. It is equipped with a rotor with a moment of inertia of 36 x 10-4 kgm2. This rotor’s permanent magnet is made from rare earth and iron oxide materials; hence, the motor has low inertia. As a result, it is suitable for applications that require high dynamics since it has a favorable torque-inertia ratio. A thermal sensor is built into its stator winding to prevent damage due to thermal overload. Heat is also efficiently eliminated from this stator to the walls of its housing, giving it a high overload capability. It supports cooling by both natural convection and surface cooling; therefore, it can be used for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.
As a product of Balance Class R per DIN VDE 0530, the MDD090B-N-020-N2M-110PA0 supports demanding applications like grinding machines. Its motor feedback type is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes, and it uses the optical measurement system. The output shaft in this MDD model is one with a keyway per DIN 6885-1 and a shaft sealing ring for form-fitting torque transmission. It also has a centering diameter of 110mm and a theoretical maximum torque of 39.0Nm.
