Product Description
Servo motors in the MDD series are easily distinguished by their slender construction and brushless design. They also have lifetime-lubricated bearings that allow their maintenance-free operation. Combined with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat, they form rapid-response automation systems.
The MDD090B-N-020-N2M-110GA1 is a model of the MDD synchronous servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has a standard housing design suited for cooling by natural convection and surface cooling. Since it has surface cooling as one of its cooling mechanisms, it supports high radial loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. This function is also supported by electronic commutation, which gives it a high cyclic load capacity. The servo motor has a compact size and consequently, a high power-to-weight ratio. Its encoder is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder for absolute indirect position detection. This encoder also has a data memory to speed up its startup.
Built to support applications with high-precision requirements, the MDD090B-N-020-N2M-110GA1 supports excellent synchronism. It is equipped with a thermal sensor built into stator windings to monitor its temperature and prevent damage due to thermal overload. The motor’s nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and it can generate a maximum torque of 39.0Nm. It belongs to the IP 65 Ingress Protection category in line with DIN 40 050, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jet sprays. Its housing coat is a black prime varnish that displays high-level resistance to chalky buildup, yellowing, and weathering. Ideally, this MDD model should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 45oC and installed at a maximum height of 1,000m.
