Product Description
The MDD Digital AC Servo Motors are products from the workshops of industrial automation firm INDRAMAT. They are integrated with adaptive digital drive controllers to produce optimal automatization systems. Typical applications of the MDD motors include tool machines, textile machines, robotics, handling equipment, printing and packaging machines, and transfer facilities.
The MDD090B-N-020-N2L-110GB0 is part of the MDD series. It is designed for high-precision operations which demand an extreme degree of synchronism, such as in grinding machines. It is a maintenance-free servo motor due to its brushless design and the presence of permanently-lubricated bearings. Its rotor's moment of inertia and theoretical maximum torque are 36×10-4 kgm² and 39.0Nm, respectively. It also has a standard housing design that enables heat loss via surface cooling or natural convection. Both radial and axial blower units can be utilized to execute the surface cooling process on this motor model. Due to its compact construction, this motor offers a high power-to-weight ratio. It is also fitted out with a digital servo feedback encoder for the determination of its speed and position. This motor encoder ensures this information is retained even after a power disconnection.
There is an inbuilt temperature sensor in the core windings of the MDD090B-N-020-N2L-110GB0. It is a temperature monitoring system that utilizes forceful shutdowns to protect the motor against damage by overheating. In such instances, the drive controller conveys an error message to the user. According to DIN VDE 0530, this motor is a product in balance class R, and thus suited to demanding applications. It is coated with black prime varnish and its appropriate storage is a dry space with a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C.
